About

Nearly 1.1 million of our neighbors in NJ face food insecurity, while nearly 3 billion pounds of food is wasted each year in our state. As New Jersey’s first and largest food rescue nonprofit, Table to Table bridges that gap. Our mission is to build a more equitable and sustainable food system by rescuing surplus, healthy food and delivering it for free to communities who need it most - ensuring no good food goes unused and no neighbor goes hungry.

Nearly 1 million of our neighbors in New Jersey are food insecure; meanwhile, enough food for over 3 billion meals is wasted each year in our state. As NJ’s first and largest dedicated food rescue nonprofit, Table to Table delivers a solution, rescuing fresh, healthy food and ensuring it reaches those who need it most. Each year, throughout Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Passaic counties, we keep nearly 25 million pounds of food out of landfills and deliver it for free to partner agencies who support children and families, seniors, veterans, people experiencing homelessness, and others who struggle to put food on the table.
